The reasons for the high use of plastics in the automotive industry include the very good price-performance ratio, the good processing properties, the wide variety of shapes, the extreme impact strength, the chemical resistance and the low weight. This also offers the automotive end customer enormous savings potential due to lower fuel consumption.

The near-to-prime properties of our compounds for use in demanding components and a reduced CO2 footprint result in a positive environmental footprint and promote a sustainable circular economy. Our high-tech compounds are, for example, heat-ageing stable, odourless, flame-retardant and process-safe and can be used in many areas as a metal substitute to reduce weight.

The multi-layered and sustainable plastic compounds in our portfolio already have many approvals from well-known OEMs, TIER1 and various suppliers to the automotive industry. They have been used for many years in interior, exterior, engine and functional parts. (see also)

E&E products are subject to increasingly stringent fire protection and flammability regulations to ensure safe installation, safe operation and safe use of electrical equipment and devices. Due to these increased requirement profiles, we have developed a wide range of compounds from each family of basic polymers and have been offering our customers a broad portfolio of specially flame-retardant technical compounds for many years. We therefore cover a wide range of requirements and different standards. Our prime and sustainable formulations contain both halogenated and halogen-free flame retardants. They are also PBDE-free and comply with RoHS directives. (see also)
