Recycled compounds from hapego plastics:
Approved for use in vehicle interiors

Kaarst, May 2026 – hapego plastics GmbH, a leading supplier of engineering plastic compounds, has announced the launch of several recycled polypropylene compounds for use in automotive interior applications. These are polypropylene compounds reinforced with 20% and 40% talc.

The development focused on an innovative material for air supply that meets the most stringent requirements. It complies with strict guidelines and specifications regarding emissions, fogging and odour, and has successfully passed all relevant component testing procedures.
In addition to its technical performance, the material is particularly impressive due to its excellent workability, good flow properties and high-quality surface finish. These properties enable reliable use in large-scale production and open up prospects for future application in other model ranges.
With this development, hapego plastics GmbH is making a significant contribution to improving the interior quality of modern vehicles, whilst at the same time strengthening its position as an innovative partner in plastics development.
